Pilot to fill 50 jobs, perks include low-cost health insurance & fuel discounts | Business

The ‘Top Job Tuesday’ featured employer this week is Pilot Company. The fuel retailer is looking to fill 185 jobs across South Carolina, with 50 openings available in Columbia.

Jamie Landis, vice president of team member experience, said the company would be hiring full and part-time hourly positions for cashiers, food service, and facility roles. Pilot is also looking to hire new team members for leadership positions.

If anyone is looking to relocate, Pilot is seeking to hire more than 100 corporate team members at its headquarters in Knoxville and its new technology campus in Atlanta. The company supplies more than 11 billion gallons of fuel per year with the third largest tanker fleet in North America and will also be hiring more than 100 company drivers to transport fuel.

According to Landis, the company is set to spend $ 1 billion to launch a renovation project called ‘New Horizon,’ which will enhance the customer’s experience at its travel locations. These enhancements will also include upgraded break areas, better workspaces, and new technology for its team members. Landis also said the upgrades would better equip team members to perform their jobs and provide an excellent experience for customers.

“It’s a really friendly family atmosphere and tons of great people; we actually make it fun to work,” said Landis. “We are also continuously investing in our people to maintain that culture, so we offer things like best-in-class job training, leadership development for our team members, weekly pay, paid time off, and tuition reimbursement.”

She added that Pilot associates could also enjoy additional perks such as fuel discounts, free meal plans, and one of the best benefits packages in the industry with low-cost health insurance.
